How much will a new gas meter cost?
The cost of a new gas meter will depend on the size of the required meter, the layout of your premises and the status of your mains connection. Crown Energy are experts when it comes to arranging even the most complex utility works; all we need from you is the site plan and a few other pieces of information in order for our designers to create a competitive quote.”
I would like to move my gas meter. Can you help?
If you need your gas meter moving, we have a specialist team on hand to assist you every step of the process. The pipe attached to the meter will determine how far we can move it.
Before we can provide you with a quote, we will need some information:
- Address of property of work required
- Full name and telephone number
- How far the external pipework is that is needed to move the gas meter
- How far the internal pipework is that is needed to reconnect the gas boiler to the new location
Is a gas meter move simple?
Our energy experts aim to make the process as straightforward as possible. They’ll guide you through the whole process and manage all of the relevant companies on your behalf to ensure your project is completed on time and within budget.
How do I apply to move my gas meter?
You can apply to have your gas meter relocated and re-linked to the inner copper pipeline. This is necessary if the inner copper line is within two meters of the meter’s new position.
How much does it cost to move a gas meter?
Not every gas meter move is the same, so the cost of each job varies based on your requirements. After having an initial conversation we can determine the distance from the existing location you wish to move the meter, or if the meter is being moved inside/outside and if the gas supply pipe needs to be altered in any way.
Once we have the above information we can provide you with an accurate cost breakdown as part of a no-obligation quote.
What is a gas submeter?
A gas submeter is used to measure the gas consumption of individual units within a property. They’re commonly installed in flats, shared buildings or business centres, allowing landlords and site managers to accurately track usage and bill each occupant for the gas they’ve used.
Who uses gas submeters?
Gas submeters are widely used by landlords, property management firms, homeowners associations and businesses to track energy use in multi-tenant properties. They’re particularly beneficial for properties being converted into flats, bedsits or shared living spaces, ensuring fair and transparent billing for tenants.
How is a gas submeter installed?
Submeters are connected to the gas line servicing an individual unit or area. Our expert engineers handle the entire installation process, ensuring accurate setup and seamless integration with existing systems.
